Emily Ready was born and raised

in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

She is the youngest of 5 children and is "Auntie Em" to 8 nieces and nephews.

Emily has a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Regina. After graduating, she moved to Winnipeg, MB, to study at the University of Manitoba, where she received a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Voice Performance. After four years in Winnipeg, she moved to New York to pursue a Master of Music Degree from New York University. Her graduate studies concentrated in Musical Theatre Performance with a dual-degree in Vocal Pedagogy.

Emily has performed, taught, choreographed, and directed throughout Western Canada. Outside of her involvement in the arts, she became certified in Teaching English as a Second Language 2018, and walked 280km of the Camino de Santiago in Portugal and Spain with her dad in 2023.

​

After spending more than a year post-graduation in New York City teaching, singing, and seeing as many live performances as possible, Emily is grateful to be back in Saskatchewan teaching in the Music Department at the University of Regina, working at the Conexus Arts Centre, and spending time with her family and two cats, Luca and Earl!
